Privacy Policy

MapRadius collects as little as possible. There are no accounts, the site sets no cookies of its own, and the radius tool keeps no record of your circles. This policy explains the data that does move, and where it goes.

What the tool does in your browser

The circles, test points and measurements you create exist only in your browser tab. The tool doesn't store them on our servers or in browser storage. When you press Copy link, the circles, test points and unit are written into the link itself; anyone you send it to can see them.

Third-party services the tool uses

To draw maps and answer searches, your browser connects directly to these services. Each one receives the request it needs, along with your IP address and browser details, under its own privacy policy:

• Google Maps Platform (map tiles, place search and the areas list, when available). Google Privacy Policy.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim (place search and place outlines, as a backup). Nominatim usage policy and OSMF Privacy Policy.
• Overpass API servers (the areas list from OpenStreetMap data, as a backup).
• Esri and OpenStreetMap tile servers (map tiles, as a backup). Esri privacy policies.
• jsDelivr (the Leaflet map library) and Google Fonts (the site's fonts). jsDelivr privacy policy and Google Fonts FAQ.

Search terms you type and the area of the map you view are sent to these services so they can return results and tiles.

Your location

The Locate me button asks your browser for your position. Your browser shows a permission prompt first, and you can decline. The position is used in your browser to centre the circle; MapRadius doesn't send it to our servers or store it.

The contact form

Messages sent through the contact form go through Web3Forms, which delivers them to us by email (Web3Forms privacy policy). We receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply. We delete messages we no longer need.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver and protect the site. See the Vercel Privacy Notice.

Analytics and advertising

MapRadius doesn't use analytics trackers, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If that changes, this page will say so before it happens.

Children

MapRadius is a general-purpose tool and isn't directed at children under 13.

Your rights and contact

To ask about any data we hold, such as a contact form message, email hello@mapradiustool.com. We'll answer access and deletion requests.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when the site's data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
